Steve Brown
Steve is the head coach of the South Australian Judo Academy.
Steve primarily works with our elite athletes who are striving for international success.
With an impressive resume including Olympian and international medallist, Steve is passionate about delivering a unique training environment, focusing on fun, hard work and results.
Steve has traveled the world training and competing against the world's best.
A frustration with lack of training opportunities when at home combined with his passion to pass on experiences to young players. The South Australian Judo Academy was formed.
Steve continues to oversee training at the Academy and is still every bit as committed to diversifying training and creating new, exciting ways to improve the standard of Judo.
Steve has trained and competed in countries right through Europe, across to Asia - including the birthplace of Judo, Japan. He has stepped on to the mat in countries throughout the South Pacific and closer to home - New Zealand. Steve has and continues to extensively travel Australia in search of the best competition and training.
Steve was the first South Australian to be selected in Judo for the Olympic Games - and to this day, still the only states only Olympic representative.
