The Present.

SAJA has a very unique approach to training and we believe this is why we get results.

Every person is different. Different abilities and different goals. What ever you are aiming for, we will apply the same philosophy of reaching your total potential.

Players can be graded through an internationally recognised system from beginner belts right through to black belt.

Our players regular participate in tournaments. Competition is the ultimate test of skill. The ability to be able to execute trained moves against an unwilling opponent, whilst under pressure. We are very proud of the success we achieve in these events.

Whether you are interested in Judo for the art, the sport or the self defense, it is the small detail that most ignore which separate the good from the great.

The International Scene

SAJA is home to most of South Australia's International representatives. This is not a coincidence. Our unique approach to training and endless strive of perfection can be seen at all levels.

Our elite athletes lead the group with expertise and work rate. They share their knowledge and skills they obtain when training abroad with the rest of the Academy which builds an even stronger training group.

Our current Australian representatives:

  • Steve Brown - 2008 Olympian
  • Will Jenkins
  • Ross Merrett
  • Courtney Barks
  • Leah Uncle
  • Michael Barks
